What is the Dayton Society of Artists (DSA)?
The Dayton Society of Artists (DSA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting adult artists and enriching the Dayton community through exhibitions, educational programs, and collaborative opportunities.

Our mission is to connect, support, and educate artists and the community. 

Where is DSA located?
Our gallery is located in the historic St. Anne's Hill Neighborhood in Dayton, Ohio. In 1962, the DSA bought and converted an 1870's home into the gallery we know and love today. Come visit at 48 High Street on Fridays and Saturdays 12 - 5 PM or by appointment. Email: info@daytondsa.org

How can I become a member of DSA?
Membership is open to artists and art enthusiasts alike! Visit our Membership Page to learn about different membership levels and benefits.

How do I renew my expired membership?
Did your membership lapse, and you want to get back on board? Read this PDF to help you re-register. 

Who all can be apart of a family membership? 
DSA recognizes families of all types, either directly related or your best artist friend.

How do I add a person to my family membership?
If you registered your membership as a family bundle, make sure to complete the admin profile 100% then go in and add the other as outlined in this PDF.

How do I update my member profile? 
Need to add a new piece of artwork to your profile, or want to update your website? Learn how to do that and more with in this Video.

Why don't I show up on the "Find an Artist" Page?
Find an Artist is a public database of our members, but requires an opt in to be included. In your membership profile, there is a checkbox to opt into "art site". If you can't find that option in the profile, feel free to email director@daytondsa.org to get it switched on.

*note: only members have access to the Membership Directory, and requires a login to access.

Internships

Are you a college student looking to complete an internship? DSA has worked with many students to build art career skills, such as:

  • Art exhibition hanging 
  • Art administration skills
  • Marketing
  • Networking
  • Community outreach projects

Email director@daytondsa.org to set up an interview so we can go over your goals and course requirements! DSA does not provide paid internships.

Donations & Sponsorships

How can I support DSA?
Your support helps us continue to provide art programming and community initiatives. You can donate online on our Donation page or, to explore sponsorship opportunities for businesses and individuals, email director@daytondsa.org.

Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes, as a nonprofit organization, donations to DSA are tax-deductible. You will receive a receipt for your contribution.

Exhibitions & Events

How can I submit my artwork for an exhibition?
We regularly host exhibitions featuring local and national artists. Calls for entry are posted on our website under Calls for Art. Follow the submission guidelines and deadlines listed for each show.

Do you host events or workshops?
Yes! We offer a variety of events, including workshops, artist talks, and community outreach programs. Check our Events Calendar for upcoming opportunities.

Is there an admission fee to visit exhibitions?
No, our exhibitions are free and open to the public. 

How can I rent the gallery for my event or art exhibition? 
If you are interested in using our space for your event or art show, take a look at our Gallery Rental page for guidelines, fees, and rules. Email director@dytondsa.org for a walkthrough of the gallery and to check availability.

DSA plans all art exhibitions a year in advance, so keep that in mind when considering renting with us.
