Bio:
Diane Coyle was born in Seattle, Washington but has been living in Ohio since 1970. She held a degree in Commercial Art and was a watercolor instructor for Sinclair Community College for 33 years.
She has also served as President of the Dayton Society of Artists. During her tenure, she created the stained glass window on the front door of the Gallery in memory of former member Jim Porter. In her long career as an artist she has had many unique experiences such as teaching watercolor classes on a Carnival Cruise Ship.
She retired at the end of 2017 and passed away in 2024. Her favorite subjects where light-filled flowers and landscapes. She feet that each of my paintings is a response to the vitality and beauty of nature.

Diane Rosemary CoyleJanuary 25, 1933 — October 4, 2024CentervilleBeloved wife and mother, Diane Coyle passed away peacefully on October 4th, at the age of 91. She resided in Centerville Ohio, where she had made her home for over fifty years. Diane developed a successful career as artist and teacher. Her preferred medium was watercolor, with a special passion for florals and landscapes. She leaves behind her husband of 71 years, Jack Coyle, two sons (Michael and Patrick), a daughter (Linda), six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Diane was born in Bothell, Washington, graduated from Bothell High School in 1951 and, after she raised her family, earned a Degree in Art from Sinclair Community College. Subsequently she taught Art at Sinclair for 33 years. She is past President of the Dayton Society of Painters and Sculptors as well as of the Tri-Art Club, and over the years won numerous awards and commendations across the Midwest. Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 10, from 1:00-2:00 PM, at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Dayton Woman’s Club. |
