Join us for an artist talk with Terry Welker, FAIA, in conjunction with his solo exhibition, Tangled Up In Blue: Messages & Images to Our Future Selves.
During this talk, Welker will discuss the ideas, influences, and creative process behind his recent body of work, which explores memory, reflection, and the expressive possibilities of the color blue. Drawing from his background as an architect, artist, and educator, he will share how sketchbooks, drawing, and sculpture have informed his multidisciplinary practice over the years.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to experience the exhibition's interactive Teleportation Station, where guests are invited to leave handwritten messages to their future selves. As these contributions accumulate throughout the exhibition, they become part of a collective installation that reflects shared hopes, memories, and aspirations.
