Mixed Media with Renee Hopson

Join the DSA in a workshop lead by Renee Hopson on the art of mixed media held in the gallery next to her work Talking to Myself . In this workshop we will work on establishing a limited palette and developing texture and interest in a series of small abstract works utilizing watercolor, acrylics, pencil, and markers. Studio materials will be provided to utilize while attending the workshop. Please feel free to bring any of your own supplies. Leave the workshop with a series of three small works. If less than 5 participants register, unfortunately the class will need to be canceled and registered participants will receive a full refund.

About your instructor: 

Renee Hopson is an Artist and Graphic Designer with a true passion for all things creative. She happiest when working to find a solution, whether that be a pleasing color palette, a balanced composition for a painting or design, a new way to inspire students or co-workers, or improving a process. Hopson always taking on new projects and seeking out information to help fuel the experience.

Traveling and playing in the woods (sketchbook in hand) are Hopson's two favorite pastimes, and main source of inspiration.
