Introducing... Emma Jackson and Weaving
Saturday, September 17th - 5:30 PM
Join the DSA for a workshop on weaving with a loom! Our instructor, Emma Jackson, will walk you through the process, and all needed materials will be provided. You will be able to take home your woven piece of art and the loom to finish or create future works!
Meet your Instructor: Emma Jackson is a fiber artist and natural dyer native to Dayton, OH. Emma has been weaving and studying tapestry for over 5 years. Her weaving knowledge and inspiration stem from her maternal grandmother, Florentine Brzozowski, whose family immigrated to Dayton from Poland in 1910. Many of Florentine's decades-old fibers are incorporated into Emma’s work. Find Emma Jackson’s artwork at Ivy Florist Studio in Kettering and at events throughout Dayton. Follow along on Instagram @emmajination.
Registration: $20 Registrants will come in person to the DSA (48 High Street, Dayton) on Saturday, September 17th at 5:30 PM where all supplies will be provided.
