Introducing...Jennifer Sayger and Recycled Art

Saturday, July 17, 2021, 2pm
This will be an in-person workshop just inside the CD Bay at the Front Street Buildings. Join the DSA for a recycled art workshop! Meet instructor, Jennifer Sayger, and learn about her artistic practice. Follow along and use the materials included in registration to create a painting on recycled cassette tapes. Jennifer will start with a demo on how to prep the cassettes, how to make a stencil and what spray paints to use. Paint your own image or design on the already prepped tapes. Acrylics will be provided to complete your piece. Beginner or advanced painters welcome. Be sure to wear old or painting clothes!

Registration is limited. Registration is only $5 thanks to an MCACD Special Projects Grant! (If the $5 is cost prohibitive, e-mail director@daytondsa.org or call 937-228-4532 for free registration!)

Jennifer Sayger
Jennifer Sayger is a DSA member, painter, and most recently one of DSA's member-at-large board members. She can be found live painting at weddings and other events. She's exhibited locally and is currently showing her piece, Ocean's Heart at the Edward A Dixon gallery's "We're doing it all wrong" exhibition.

Introducing...
The purpose of the workshop series, Introducing..., is to acquaint DSA members and the community to different mediums and methods in the visual arts. In conjunction, the attendees will get to know the instructing artist, their background, and tips and tricks of their trade.

MCACD and Culture Works
This project was supported in part by a Special Projects Grant funded by the Montgomery County Arts & Cultural District and administered by Culture Works.
