Sophia Hoersten Passing Time, 48 x 36 in. Oil on Canvas NFS -- My artwork considers the psychological complexities confronted by many women as they navigate early adulthood. I represent these notions in oil paint to create atmospheres charged with subliminal moods and energies. I use self-portraiture to depict my organic form within familiar domestic settings, revealing raw vulnerabilities and uncertainties in the face of womanhood's identity-forming years.
