Doing Their Jobs at K's Hamburger Shop
K's Hamburger Shop in Troy, Ohio opened in 1935 (now in its 89th year) and is still owned and operated by the daughter of the original owners. This type of diner was common in the U.S. through the 1960s, but rare now. The image is a composite of the landmark neon sign that has beckoned and welcomed customers since the 40s, and a current employee who wears the original style diner uniform.
