A friend and I run regularly on the trails of Glen Helen, near Yellow Springs. Our route takes us up a steep path that connects the Little Miami river to the ridge above. The angle of this path makes the forest ahead flatten into a near-vertical plane, but the movement of running and glancing at my feet, then up, then at my feet again, gives a strange perspective, which I tried to capture here.
